Ok first things first…do NOT ask me why I’m still up at almost 3 am in the morning…because I DON’T know.  Right good. LOL.

So, all my exams are finished and I am now on holidays for seven weeks.  Seven weeks of no uni.  I still have to collect two of my reports from uni though.  And marks start coming out July 11th…but that’s a while away yet.  (Fingers crossed I passed…I’m not sure about ZL3203 though).

I went and saw ‘The Longest Yard’ with My friend last night…yes it WAS last night.  It was absolutely hilarious.  Some of the lines from it were so funny.  Some of it was really ‘wrong’ though…lol.  Adam Sandler was in good form.  But I swear that the Warden of the prison was the same actor who was in Babe.  Megan reckons the guy in Babe his ears were sticking out more…but he could have had them pinned back…

what else…well…QLD lost the second origin game so…Bring On the Decider!  The Maroons will be ready!  Cowboys have a BYE this weekend. 

My whole family ave been crook and I’m coming down with it as well…but not as bad…cos i’ve been taking my medicine like a good girl lol. 

The Simple Plan Single, ‘Untitled’ is in stores on the 20th of June, which is in 2 days…on Monday…they don’t shelve it until around lunch time though, which is odd.

When I was in year seven BSB was a big craze.  And their most famous hit was Everybody (Backstreet’s back).  We have it on karaoke…and I love the song.  But I never really was a huge fan of BSB.  Until the singles from Millenium came out.

• Larger Than Life

I have all four singles…and the video for Larger Than Life was my favourite music video in 1999.

I now have the new BSB single ‘Incomplete’ I love it…and it also has two other tracks on it ‘Moving on" and ‘My Beautiful woman’ they are both very good.

Ok….age old debate…what makes a boy band?  In my opinion the term ‘boy band’ seems to be extremely negative.  Just because guys who are in a group that sing and dance they get labelled as a boy band.  Granted when they start they often are ‘boys’ (as in young) it still seems derogatory.  Take Backstreet Boys for example…they are not ‘boys’ anymore.  Nick Carter is the youngest and he’s 25 or 26?  A ‘boy’?  No way!  He is a man!  I mean you look at Simple Plan…a band…made up of five guys…are THEY called a ‘boyband’?  No!  Far from it!  But they’re all ‘boys’ aren’t they?

So…tell me…is it to do with the fact that SP play their instruments and don’t dance?  Where as BSB just dance?  Come on…the word ‘boyband’ is so old now…but they can’t think of something new.  I suppose.  Is it to do with the songs they sing?

I suppose it’s just human nature to ‘label, label, label,’ but it’s weird to me.  I love BSB and I love SP…and both sorts of ‘boy’ bands have lots to offer.

Old School:

• Human Nature
• Boyzone

New School (ie…some people will label these bands as the ‘new’ boybands…)

• Good Charlotte

• Sum 41
• Simple Plan etc…

Of course in Pierre’s own words:  Us, Sum 41 and Good Charlotte are all bands who have made it on their own, who have written their own songs and who are actually a real band who play their own instruments.  So, if that’s considered the new boy bands, then it makes for a brighter future. 

I’m buying the new Backstreet boys single today :D…Incomplete….I love the song…love the vid it’s so cool.

Oh and Pierre said this weird thing in the smash hits mag.

ONE MORE EXAM LEFT!!!  It’s my vertebrate zoology one.  Anyways I’m home alone this weekend.  Won’t be getting much sleep lol.  I’ll be writing more of my fics.  I have:

Prologue: The Dawning of a New day

Daybreak.  I never get sick of watching the rays of the sun at first light touching the horizon as if it was kissing it.  It’s too beautiful for words.  I told Thomas this once and he reckons I’m too sentimental for my own good.  Yet, I tell him if that was the case, he’d be dead and I’d be alone.  He doesn’t believe me, but then again he doesn’t believe anything unless there’s hard evidence to back it up.  However, there is one thing he believes…or should I say one thing he knows, and that is that I love him.
