It’s been a while since I’ve touched base here.  Thought I would pick up some prompts from http://www.journalwild.com once more.  I feel like I need a burst of writing inspiration and what better way than to have individual words to jog my thoughts into action.

…and the Shofar Blew, a novel

As you all know, I don’t write book reviews as such.  But, I would like to tell you about this book that I just finished reading.  In some ways I read it twice, maybe three times in the one sitting.  That is, I read the beginning.  I read some of the chapters in the middle.  Then I read the last chapter.  Then I read the whole book right through.  I pick up a lot more when I do that.  And, so, I think I can fill you in with my thoughts now that I’ve had a day to think on it.

Reflections of a Married Woman – First Anniversary

It’s Thursday, the day of Throwbacks, a good day as any to reflect on my first year of marriage.  We celebrated our anniversary on the weekend, a long weekend by all accounts.  Tuesday was the day of our actual anniversary; the 13th of September.  We went away to spend time together out of the rat race and I can tell you now it was much needed.  I’ve returned to work feeling refreshed and positive about the future. Good Morning, Vietnam – Not a movie review

Last night, after watching Good Morning, Vietnam for the very first time, I took to Facebook and wrote this post:

Just finished watching Good Morning Vietnam!

What a great movie. A classic movie. And, the very first time I’ve ever watched it. Yes, I know. I’m slow. (Unpopular opinion?) Not the best movie I’ve ever watched, not even the best Robin Williams movie (Dead Poets Society still holds that award for me), but a fantastic movie nonetheless. Moving, and definitely classic Robin Williams. And anything Robin Williams is gold.

I now want to expand on that post with several thoughts.  I must stress, though, that this isn’t a movie review, as such.  Just my thoughts on a movie that I enjoyed, seen through the lens of my thoughts and fuelled by discussion with my husband after watching.
